We create new futures for women and children who need us most by providing case management, nutritious meals, and safe shelter, so that families can make the transition to permanent and stable self-sufficiency.

Our Emergency Shelter is scheduled to open in the fall 2021. Our emergency shelter will serve only women and children. This is of significant value to women as it eliminates the possibility of sexual abuse from the opposite sex within the shelter.

Moreover, other shelters allow 30 days or less of housing, unlike Sisters 4 Hope Foundation that will offer transitional housing for up to 12 months and long-term income-based housing thereafter. Our housing will accommodate single women as well as women and children. All locations will be safe and secure for women to heal and begin their lives again.

Meet Our Founders who are dedicated, committed, and passionate about change. Sisters 4 Hope Foundation was founded by childhood best friends that have been sisters since age 6.

Co-Founder & Executive Director, April Sago was led by her very own testimony to be a role model and advocate for victims and survivors of trauma and homelessness. With this revelation, the vision for Sisters 4 Hope Foundation was born. This did not come about overnight, as she often jokes, she fought over 10 years with herself regarding her worthiness to follow God’s plan to take on such a great responsibility. One night of prayer she finally surrendered to God and accepted the purpose he has for her life. That purpose is to become a very important force in the community where young girls and women can find solace in knowing someone is there to love, assist and protect them when they may feel the world has given up.

Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer, Sheneca Holmes has been in the beauty industry for nearly 20 years. She has obtained multiple licenses as a Cosmetologist, (from IN, GA, and TX). Realizing, that even though she may be ready to retire from using her gift as a hair therapist, she’s not ready to retire her gift for ministering to women, who in particular, have experienced a crisis and need help to get to a better place in life. After much prayer and meditation on which direction she should go with this, she accepted her calling to use her gifts on another much-needed platform; thus Sisters 4 Hope Foundation was born. She realized that empowering women to feel good about themselves, goes beyond their hair and the chair. She wants to use her personal experiences as an outlet of transparency, to provide hope for a better life and future for our Sisters.  

True, Sisters 4 Hope Foundation was established during the coronavirus pandemic in August of 2020. We have made great strides to be of assistance to the surrounding Dallas, Ellis, and Tarrant Counties in Texas. The objective is to provide the necessities for young girls and women to develop self-esteem, self-worth and self-awareness through individual development, education, and counseling while filling a need for emergency, transitional and long-term housing.
