Sisters 4 Hope Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in Desoto, TX., that was founded in 2020. Our mission statement is to provide a second chance to at-risk women facing homelessness, who are victims of domestic violence, youth aging out of the foster care system, and female veterans with resources, advocacy, and long-term sanctuary; so, they can become self-sufficient and safe from harm. At Sisters 4 Hope Foundation we believe that all women and children are Made to Love, and everything we do is a representation of this. We show up each day with the purpose of empowering the women of our community to rise up, conquer challenges and fulfill their dreams.

 

The Human Resource Director will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will drive the development and implementation of all strategic and tactical Human Resource programs. This is a very dynamic role that will have a direct impact on the organization’s continued growth. This role must thrive in a fast-paced environment and seek out opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

The Human Resource Director must demonstrate expertise in employee relations, diversity and inclusion, performance management, conflict resolution, compliance, and audit standards, recruiting, employee retention and engagement, performance management and compensation, as well as policy and procedures.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead, manage and hold accountable Human Resources department and staff members.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to HR staff in order to develop and grow the team.
  • Provide consultation to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • collaborate with legal and make recommendations.
  • Workforce Planning & Organizational Development-Analyze and provide guidance on the organizational state and future requirements. Develop and write job descriptions and career path strategies as needed to facilitate business planning.
  • Develop a conscious and deliberate recruiting approach to attract and retain top talent both internally and externally.
  • Lead the annual salary, and bonus planning process with executive leadership and frontline managers to ensure appropriate equity throughout the company.
  • Support Leadership Development initiatives and encourage continuous learning for all employees.
  • Promote employee engagement through the encouragement of employees to participate in various activities: learning and growing, problem-solving, performance recognition systems, and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain programs and events promoting positive culture towards employee engagement.
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards.

  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
  • Experience with MS Office, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR (preferred).
  • BS/BA in human resources, business administration, or related field. Official transcript required.
  • Experience in management and development.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining HR metrics and budgets.
