Sisters 4 Hope Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in Desoto, TX., that was founded in 2020. Our mission statement is to provide a second chance to at-risk women facing homelessness, who are victims of domestic violence, youth aging out of the foster care system, and female veterans with resources, advocacy, and long-term sanctuary; so, they can become self-sufficient and safe from harm. Sisters 4 Hope Foundation is seeking an energetic, supportive, and committed individual to fill the position of Booster’s House Manager of our long-term housing program for women and children coming from our Transitional Housing. The Booster’s House Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of S4H’s housing, supervision of direct care staff, volunteer coordination and support, and coordination of outreach/case management services for the long-term residential program clients.
Qualities We Are Looking For:
- A Hands-on Manager – Willing to jump in to assist with the daily tasks if needed to ensure the smooth operation of the housing program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous supervisory experience (minimum 2 years).
- Must be willing to work two split shifts (1:00 – 9:00 pm) per week.
Essential Job Duties:
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the long-term resident housing program.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and direct support to the long-term housing program team.
- Schedule direct care staff and assign duties to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the program at all times.
- Ensure implementation of daily operating procedures, safety protocols, and administrative functions for program activities.
- Monitor supply inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Monitor physical facility repair needs and safety concerns and address any concerns in a timely manner according to protocols.
- Maintain an accurate log of shift activities including incident reports, infractions of the housing program rules, and serious incident reports. Meet with Overnight Security to give reports and share any concerns.
- Contact the appropriate agencies in the event of an emergency.
- Complete and file reports with the executive team, as necessary.
- Assist residential program guests to connect with needed community, income, and housing resources.
- Ensure timely referral, screening, intake process for housing guests, and maintain up-to-date information in the electronic information system.
- Maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies and housing volunteers.
- Participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled, responding to emergencies and requests for immediate consultation from housing staff, which may include facility-related emergencies.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (Master’s preferred) in Human Services/Social Work. Official transcripts required. (Experience may be substituted for education)
- Experience working with low-income households.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience (3 years preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak in English (Bi-lingual preferred).
- Strong communication, written, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience with MS Office, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to work 2 split shifts (1-9 pm) per week.
- Must have or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Must undergo the Criminal background check upon hiring and annually thereafter.
- Must be able to physically walk up several flights of stairs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
