Sisters 4 Hope Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in Desoto, TX., that was founded in 2020. Our mission statement is to provide a second chance to at-risk women facing homelessness, who are victims of domestic violence, youth aging out of the foster care system, and female veterans with resources, advocacy, and long-term sanctuary; so, they can become self-sufficient and safe from harm. At Sisters 4 Hope Foundation we believe that all people are Made to Love, and everything we do is a representation of this. The receptionist positions will receive client families and visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing them courteously and appropriately. Answers, screens, and routes incoming phone calls plus other general office duties.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Greets guests and visitors, offering assistance when entering the building.
  • Notifies staff members when appointments arrive and escort guests to the appropriate room.
  • Answers routine questions associated with services, products, location directions, etc.
  • Immediately notifies and involves management with customer service and security issues.
  • Receives donations that are dropped off.
  • Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls to appropriate staff members
  • Maintains a comfortable environment for clients, providing beverages and other amenities for families as needed. May make coffee.
  • Maintains guest-waiting area, disposing of trash, replacing tissues, and general straightening of furniture.
  • Receives incoming mail and packages.
  • Maintains organized and current electronic and paper files and records.
  • May perform light typing, proofreading, data entry, or printing.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six months general office, receptionist, or administrative support experience preferred.
  • Bilingual, Spanish-speaking preferred.
  • Enthusiasm for and positive representation of Sisters 4 Hope’s mission, goals, and culture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent Sisters 4 Hope Foundation to all types of audiences in a professional and engaging manner.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, and the ability to work effectively with the busy office.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Clear and professional speaking voice and tone.
  • Professional interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in excess of 8 hours per day if needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel as necessary to fulfill daily duties assigned.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
