Sisters 4 Hope Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in Desoto, TX., that was founded in 2020. Our mission statement is to provide a second chance to at-risk women facing homelessness, who are victims of domestic violence, youth aging out of the foster care system, and female veterans with resources, advocacy, and long-term sanctuary; so, they can become self-sufficient and safe from harm. The Client Advocate is responsible for providing exceptional service to all incoming phone calls and emails from current and potential clients, as well as our internal departments. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Advocate to join our team and work directly with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and homelessness. The ideal candidate would have strong safety planning skills, knowledge of the civil and criminal systems will know how to provide clients with options, and have excellent organizational caseload management skills.
Essential Job Duties:
- Deliver case management, crisis intervention, and information referrals to domestic violence and sexual assault victims through face-to-face and/or telephone contact.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies, child protective services, district attorney’s office, child support and civil court system, and other social service agencies to implement victim response and services.
- Assist clients in developing and maintaining an individualized service plan focusing on safety.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, or equivalent experience. Official transcript required.
- Two years+ experience progressively in the social service capacity.
- Bilingual, Spanish-speaking preferred.
- Enthusiasm for and positive representation of Sisters 4 Hope’s mission, goals, and culture.
- Demonstrate understanding of relationship violence and sexual assault issues.
- Experience working with CPS and knowledge of CPS Systems.
- Flexible schedule as some evenings and weekends may be required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent Sisters 4 Hope Foundation to all types of audiences in a professional and engaging manner.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, and the ability to work effectively with a high case management load.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in excess of 8 hours per day if needed.
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel as necessary to fulfill daily duties assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
