Sisters 4 Hope Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in Desoto, TX., that was founded in 2020. Our mission statement is to provide a second chance to at-risk women facing homelessness, who are victims of domestic violence, youth aging out of the foster care system, and female veterans with resources, advocacy, and long-term sanctuary; so, they can become self-sufficient and safe from harm. The Director of Childcare and Early Learning is responsible for our Kingdom Kids locations, along with the development of the Center’s educational curriculum and the supervision of the staff to ensure that all planned activities are in line with the educational philosophy of Kingdom Kids. The Director is also responsible for ensuring the staff adheres to the standards at all times.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Must be qualified to be a childcare center director according to Texas HHS regulations.
  • Leadership Skills and Great Organization required.
  • Maintain good communication with parents and prospective students through direct conversation, newsletters, and parent handbooks.
  • Maintain positive relationships with the regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure legal and financial compliance.
  • Establish procedures and train staff.
  • Manage state funding programs.
  • Maintain student records in accordance with established enrollment procedures and guidelines.
  • Must be willing to take the centers to Stars.
  • Maintain and increase centers Star level with attention to the continued quest for quality.
  • Ensuring weekly lesson plans are turned in by the teachers include developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Recordkeeping of each Center’s income.
  • Responsible for making sure all staff adheres to the Texas Minimum Standards for Day Care Centers.
  • Coordination of annual open houses.
  • Participating in workshops and in-service staff meetings.
  • Preparation of the developmental evaluations used to assess the children’s developmental status.
  • Writing the monthly newsletter and calendar.
  • Give tours to prospective members.
  • Checking in food orders when delivered.
  • Ordering paper goods and soap for the center and for arranging any maintenance needs.
  • Participate in Club committees, i.e., star committee, safety committee, and power team.
  • Must be mentally alert to children’s safety and wellbeing.

Competencies & Skill Requirements

  • Associates and/or Bachelors in ECE, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services. Official transcript required.
  • 3 years of Childcare Experience.
  • Experience with MS Office, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
